The City Of Filer Fire Department has purchased a used 1997 American Lafrance Freightliner Aerial/Pumper. The new truck has a 75' foot ladder with a pre piped water way. The truck is being purchased from East Naples Fire Department in Florida. With the purchase of this apparatus the City Fire Department should be able to keep the Insurance Rating down to assist the citizens in the city with the cost of their home owners insurance. The members of the Filer Fire Department would like to thank Mayor Robert Templeman and the Filer City Council for their support in this purchase.  Chief Bud Compher is hoping to have the unit in service by the end of the year.
