February, 2010: Filer Fire and Rescue would like to congratulate Keith Skruggs and Skyler Fisher on becoming our newest recruits . Keith has also joined the Filer Quick Response as an EMT Basic.

October, 2009: Filer Fire and Rescue would like to announce the promotion of Lonnie Brutke and Charlie Herr as full time members of the department.

June, 2009:     The Filer Fire and Rescue has again gathered a young gentlemen to fulfill it's junior firefighting program. We would like congratulate Thomas Hurley on a great opportunity.

February, 2009:     The Filer Fire and Rescue has acquired another member. We would like to congratulate Charlie  on becoming a part of our one of the best fire fighting organization in the State. 

January, 2009:    Filer Fire and Rescue has placed in service the new ladder truck. Will have more information coming soon in our apparatus page.     

January, 2009:    The Filer Fire and Rescue has obtained two new members. Lonnie Brutke and John Wray was placed on the department this month. The Filer Fire and Rescue would like to congratulate Lonnie and John for becoming part of elite brotherhood.

Filer Quick Response: also has gained two members. Chris Mullen, who is also a firefighter, and Kayla Miller have joined up with us. Both Chris and Kayla are Emergency Medical Technician Basics and both attended College of Southern Idaho. Congratulations to both and we looking forward to working with you. 

January 2009:    Filer Fire and Rescue had the annual meeting for elections. All Officers stayed the same with exception of our second safety officer. Jason Vanleeuwen has been elected to that position. Has safety officer, Jason will over see fire fighting operations to assist the incident command officer in keeping safety a priority on the fire ground. 

October, 2008:    The Filer Fire Department and the City of Filer would is announcing the purchase of a new truck. The please see our new fire trucks link for more information.    

 September, 2008:    The Filer Fire and Rescue was going to host a High/Low Angle Rescue Class.  The class has been cancelled.

 May, 2008:    The Filer Fire District has placed in service a new rescue unit. Please go to our new fire truck link to see more information.
